The budget Deficit Commision

What the heck is this. Cut wasteful spending. Stop these stimulus packages and Obamacare. Simplify tax procedures, and close this stupid commision!

Biden on Foreign Policies

Since I was extremely surprised by some of the issues that were expressed during the debate, I decided to search the news sites for something about them, and found nearly nothing.

Biden is considered knowledgeable, if not an expert on foreign policies. Here are some of the issues that were brought up during the debate:

1. Hezbollah – Biden claimed that the Bush administration let Hezbollah into Lebanon, and then when “we threw them out” he and Obama said NATO should go in but nobody took them up on it and now Hezbollah was all over Lebanon and that’s a problem.
This is probably the biggest gaffe, lie, demonstration of stupidity that has been said by any of the candidates, by far outscores any of Palin’s.
a) Hezbollah’s been in Lebanon since the 80′s.
b) They have been involved in the Lebanese government for quite a while,
c) Hezbollah never was thrown out of Lebanon
Now there are a few hypotheses on what he meant. My first though is he was referring to the battle between Israel-Lebanon in 2006, where the UN moved in to Southern Lebanon.
A second hypothesis, he was referring to Syria, which the Bush administration along with France were able to get them out of Lebanon, which BTW, may be changing in the upcoming future,.
d) Either way I have searched around and have not found any sources to this Nato claim, moreover, who and how would that work,
e) Hezbollah’s rise is directly related to Iran, which BTW, change powers during the Carter years.
2 Iran – Regarding preconditional talks with Iran, Obama clearly stated he would make discussions without preconditions with Iranian and other leaders,
3. Hamas – I don’t recall the two against allowing them in the elections, but these were part of the piece plans which started in Oslo, and agreed upon by the Israeli government, and how do you expect to make agreements when the majority are against the government in power.
4. Condoleezza Rice – Here again, he threw out nonsensical statements.
5. Israel – He’s the best friend of Israel. Honestly, he does vote generally pro-Israel, but why make ridiculous exaggerations.
6. Israel – Obama has always been pro-Israel. Correction, Obama has always been pro-Israel when he speaks in front of Israeli-Jewish groups.
The only thing I can say positively about this is that Palin didn’t call him on these points. His ignorance, arrogance, deceitfulness; and complete stupidity are totally unbelievable. What’s more unbelievable is the lack of response from the press. Palin’s relatively minor mistakes, in areas she doesn’t specialize in, compared to Biden’s apparent specialization, which was probably weaker then an average Elementary school child.

These are just some things I could write briefly. His comments on coal were as well outright lies. If anyone had any time, they would find that at least 90% of what he said was clearly faulty. I find it amazing that there are those actually comparing Biden-Palin in the debate and in general. __________________

Presidential Race Heating Up

Following the Republican National Convention, the presidential race is heating up. Each side is hitting as hard as they can at the others, although the media is still hot over McCains vice presidential choice. The republicans started using Obama’s change them, which has infuriated the Democratic party, especially Obama himself. The next major events will be the debates.

Palin Reveals 17 Year Old Daughter is Pregnant

After speculations over the internet regarding Vice Presidential candidate Sara Palin’s fifth down syndrome child. Who was thought to be Palin’s daughter’s child. The reality is that Bristol Palin is actually pregnant now, and is planning on having the child, and marry the father. Sara Palin is a strong pro-life supporter, as well as an abstinence supporter. Her opponents are using this to ridicule her pro-life abstinence policies, whereas her supporters say she is an example of pride, following her beliefs, of not having a miscarriage, and the same for her daughter, as well as coming out in public about her daughters situation.

Oddly enough, there are very few discussions regarding her actual beliefs practices and accomplishments.

Time will tell, how the public will relate to her nomination.

Palin is Still Surpising Everyone

The unlikely choice of Sarah Palin as McCain’s Vice Presidential nomination is still got everyone at odds. The Democrats had prepared for attacking McCain’s more likely choices, while on the other hand the Republican’s especially conservatives seem to be glooming. The Democrats are looking for criticism and scandals wherever they can find them. Here are a few.

  • Lack of experience. Small town mayor, newly elected Governor, from outside of continental US. On the other hand her proponents came her experience and accomplishments are more than Obama’s.
  • More right wing than McCain, and less environmental. This is actually positive for the Republicans right wing, who see McCain as a moderate Democrat-Republican, and Obama as a Socialist.
  • The Down Syndrome Baby. The skeptics say that there is evidence the baby is actually Palin’s granddaughter not her daughter. Speculation, but know evidence as of yet.
  • Firing of Public Safety Commission Walter Monegan as abuse of power. There has been no evidence as of yet.
  • Mommy running for office. Who knows what’s best.

One thing for sure. This seems to be the first time that the Republicans seem to be getting more press coverage than the Democrats.

McCain Makes VP Choice

As a surprise decision Republican presidential nominee chooses Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin. Palin has is young with little experience, however, considered to be accomplished. Here is some of her history:

  • She attended High School Wasilla Alaska, where she was the head of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Point Guard and Basketball coach of the School’s Basketball team.
  • She won the miss Wasilla beauty contest, and the runner up of the Miss Alaska beauty contest.
  • She has a BA in Communications Journalism from the University of Idaho. She briefly worked in the field.
  • Palin’s political career started in 1992, when she served on her city’s (very small town) council. She served two terms.
  • In 1996 she ran for and won the election as mayor.
  • In 1997 she fired the Police Chief and Library Director. The police chief sued her on grounds that the decision was political.
  • Palin reduced the salary of the mayor, and preoperty taxes by 40%.
  • She reran for Mayor in 1999 and won.
  • Palin was elected the President of the council of mayors in Alaska.
  • In 2002 she ran for Lieutenant General, and lost (2nd place).
  • In 2006 she was elected Governor of Alaska.
  • She is considered a conservative, more than McCain. She has little foreign policy background. Her nomination seems to aimed at youth, women, conservative vote.

Obama Picks VP Running Mate Joe Biden

Barack Obama has chosen his VP running mate, Joseph R. Biden Jr Biden of Delaware brings with him age, experience and foreign policy knowledge, all of which are Obama’s accepted weaknesses.

McCain on the other hand decided to use Biden’s own words to attack Obama, who was running against Obama in the beginning stages of the Democratic Primaries.

“There has been no harsher critic of Barack Obama’s lack of experience than Joe Biden,” said McCain spokesman Ben Porritt. “Biden has denounced Barack Obama’s poor foreign policy judgment and has strongly argued in his own words what Americans are quickly realizing – that Barack Obama is not ready to be president.”

Here are some quotes:

“Barack Obama is probably the most exciting candidate that the Democratic or Republican Party has produced at least since I’ve been around,” Biden said. “And he’s fresh. He’s new. He’s smart. He’s insightful. And I really regret that some have taken totally out of context my use of the word ‘clean.’” (JAN. 2007)

“I deeply regret any offense my remark in the New York Observer might have caused anyone. That was not my intent and I expressed that to Senator Obama.” (JAN. 2007)

“I mean, you’ve got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.” (JAN. 2007)

Regarding Obama’s lack of experience:

“If the Democrats think we’re going to be able to nominate someone who can win without that person being able to table unimpeachable credentials on national security and foreign policy, I think we’re making a tragic mistake.” (AUG. 2007)

“I think he can be ready, but right now I don’t believe he is. The presidency is not something that lends itself to on-the-job training.” (AUG. 2007)

Presidential Race Stable

It seems that the presidential has gone into a certain level of stability based upon the polls. RasmussenReports has had the race between two percentage points for over 10 weeks now, which is statistically insignificant.

McCain considering Cantor as VP Choice

It has been known that John McCain is considering Rep. Eric Cantor as a potential future running mate. Eric Cantor is 45 year old Virginia Congrssman. Some consider this a ploy for gaining Jewish votes.

An Interesting Clinton Attack on Obama

At a event in New Hampshire, Bill Clinton rants on Barack Obama’s (supposed) free pass from the press. The former president somehow managed to turn a question from a student about Mark Penn’s (Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager) judgment– or lack thereof– into a complaint that Obama hasn’t been held to the same standard as Hillary Clinton on the war:

“Second, it is wrong that Senator Obama got to go through 15 debates trumpeting his superior judgment and how he had been against the war in every year, numerating the years, and never got asked one time, not once, ‘Well, how could you say, that when you said in 2004 you didn’t know how you would have voted on the resolution? You said in 2004 there was no difference between you and George Bush on the war and you took that speech you’re now running on off your website in 2004 and there’s no difference in your voting record and Hillary’s ever since?’ Give me a break. “This whole thing is the biggest fairy tale I’ve ever seen…So you can talk about Mark Penn all you want.
